Transport
Silba island is accessible by catamaran ferries from Zadar, Mali Losinj and Pula. These ferries offer a convenient and scenic way to reach the island.
Catamaran schedules can be found on the websites of the ferry operators: TP Line, Kapetan Luka — Krilo and Jadrolinija. It is advisable to book tickets in advance, especially during peak season.
Cars and parking
No. Cars are not allowed on Silba island, which keeps its tranquil, car-free atmosphere. You will need to arrange parking in Zadar, Mali Losinj or Pula.
Secure private parking can be arranged in Zadar and Pula. The price is approximately 8–10 EUR per day and often includes transfers to and from the ferry port.
While catamarans are the most common way to reach Silba, private boat transfers might be available. These are usually more expensive and require prior arrangement.
Luggage
It is recommended to pack light, as you will need to carry your luggage from the ferry to your accommodation. However, your host will typically assist you with transportation.
There might not be a dedicated luggage storage facility on Silba. However, you can usually arrange to leave your luggage with your host if you arrive early or depart late.
Accommodation
Silba offers a variety of accommodation, including villas, apartments, rooms and vacation houses — options for different budgets and preferences.
You can send a booking request directly from any villa or apartment page on this site, or contact the property owners. It is recommended to book in advance, especially during peak season.
The earliest check-in is usually around 14:00, and the latest check-out is typically around 10:00. You can often arrange luggage storage with your host if needed.
Payment and prices
A reservation fee, usually 30% of the total cost, is required in advance. The remaining balance is paid directly to the lessor upon arrival. Payment methods include cash and bank transfer.
The price usually includes the rent, bed linens, towels, electricity, water, tourist tax and final cleaning. Some accommodations offer additional amenities.
Pet policies vary by property. Please check with the owner beforehand if you plan to bring a pet.
Arrival and reception
After booking your accommodation and ferry tickets, contact your lessor with your arrival details. They will meet you at the port and help with transportation to your accommodation.
Yes. Your host will typically meet you at the Silba port with a trolley or other means to help transport your luggage.
Inform your host as soon as possible. They can usually adjust their plans and still meet you upon arrival.
Shops, restaurants and amenities
Yes, there are a few supermarkets on Silba where you can buy groceries and fresh produce. There is also a bakery and a pastry shop.
Yes. Silba offers a variety of restaurants and cafes serving local Croatian cuisine, seafood specialities and international dishes.
Silba has shops for souvenirs and beachwear, and rental services for boats, SUPs and kayaks.
The ATM is located in front of the main supermarket. You can also withdraw cash at the post office.
